Guangzhou slowed me down in the best way. Between cable cars, canopy walks, and forest stairways climbing into morning light, the city slowly gave way to birdsong. This short birding escape was less about distance and more about listening—waiting for movement in the leaves, flashes of color, familiar calls in unfamiliar terrain.
